World War IIron full-rigged ship Majorka
Iron full-rigged ship Majorka was struck by a mine and sunk on August 14, 1917, by a mine laid by the German U-boat U-71, north of Scotland. The ship was en route from London to Delaware Breakwater in ballast. Nine people lost their lives in the shipwreck, while eleven were rescued.
