World War IIDS Brask
SS Brask was on a journey in convoy from Gourock headed to Durban. After the convoy was disbanded Brask and a Greek ship sailed together. After a while at the 15th of January 1941 in position 5245N, 2359W the two ships came under attack by the Italian U-boat Torelli. First, the Italian U-boat torpedoed the Greek ship and then attacked Brask and sunk it with a torpedo. 20 survived the sinking while Seven Norwegians, two Finnish, one Briton and one French perished.
