World War IIDS Tolosa
SS Tolosa was on a journey from Jamaica to Chester in Pennsylvania and the ship was expected to arrive on the 10th of February 1942. The ship was never heard from after it set sail, but according to German reports, the ship was torpedoed on the 9th of February 1942 by the German U-boat U-108 in position 3440N, 7350W. 16 Norwegians, two Swedes, an American (of Norwegian origin) and a Briton perished in the sinking.
