World War IIDS Vigsnes
The SS Vigsnes was torpedoed on January 23, 1945, by the German U-boat U-1172 in the Irish Sea. The vessel was en route from Cardiff to Mersey. The entire crew escaped in two lifeboats and was rescued by other ships.
