World War IDS Sevilla
DS Sevilla was torpedoed by the German U-boat UB-80 on April 25, 1918, northwest of Barry Head. The ship was en route from Cadiz to Bergen carrying a cargo of wine and fruit. One person lost his life in the shipwreck. The remaining crew members, along with eight men from the previously sunken Siljestad, were later rescued by a British patrol vessel.
