World War IBarque Regina
Barque Regina was stopped on October 23, 1916, and set on fire by the German U-boat UB-34. The ship was en route from Porsgrunn to Tyne, carrying a cargo of props. The U-boat towed the lifeboat, but it capsized, resulting in the drowning of two crew members. The remaining crew members were later rescued by a Dutch vessel.
