World War IDS Nordkyn

DS Nordkyn was likely struck by a mine in the Baltic Sea in January 1915. The ship was en route from Bergen to Königsberg carrying herring. Nordkyn passed Hammershus on January 23, and later wreckage from the ship wreck and the ship’s logbook, recorded up to January 24, were found. The entire crew lost their lives in the shipwreck.
