World War IDS Kong Guttorm
DS Kong Guttorm was torpedoed by the German U-boat UB-103 on July 11, 1918. The ship was en route from Caen to Swansea in ballast (without cargo). Eleven people lost their lives in the shipwreck when the torpedo hit amidships. Four survivors were later rescued by a British patrol vessel.
