World War IDS Atlantis
DS Atlantis was torpedoed on the night of October 3, 1918, by the German U-boat UB-112 southeast of Lizard. The ship was en route from Barry to Rouen, France, carrying a cargo of coal. Tragically, 2 persons lost their lives in the sinking. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
