World War IDS Altair

DS Altair was torpedoed by the German U-boat UC-64 on October 18, 1917, off Trevose Head. The ship was en route from Rouen to Cardiff with no cargo on board. Tragically, 5 people lost their lives in the sinking. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
