World War IIDS Bill
DS Bill was en route from Brazil to New York when the ship was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-155 on July 29, 1942. A Brazilian helper boy perished in the sinking. The Norwegian captain was captured by the U-boat and died in the fall of 1942 due to heart disease in a prisoner camp in France.
