World War IIDS Søndhordaland

DS Søndhordaland was confiscated by the German Navy as a support vessel for a period in 1940. On September 9, 1940, while the ship was in regular route service, it was attacked by British aircraft near Vedholmen outside Bergen, resulting in one man’s death from injuries sustained in the attack. The ship was scrapped in 1955.
