World War IIDS Hermod

DS Hermod was sunk on April 6, 1942, by Japanese warships in the Bay of Bengal. The ship was en route from Calcutta to Colombo with general cargo. Fortunately, the entire crew survived the sinking and rowed to safety in lifeboats to Antraveda on the Godavari coast.
