World War IIST Dixie Arrow

The ST Dixie Arrow was torpedoed on March 26, 1943, by the German U-boat U-71. The vessel was en route from Texas City to Paulsboro, New Jersey, with crude oil. Eleven people lost their lives, including one Norwegian, while 22 people were rescued.
