World War IIST Broad Arrow

The American DT Broad Arrow was torpedoed on January 9, 1943, by the German U-boat U-124. The vessel was en route from Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Rio de Janeiro with diesel oil. Twenty-three people lost their lives in the sinking, and 24 were rescued.
