World War IIDT Coimbra

The British DT Coimbra was torpedoed on 15 January 1942 by the German U-boat U-123 off the eastern coast of the United States. The vessel was en route from Bayonne, New Jersey, via Halifax to the United Kingdom carrying oil. Thirty-six lives were lost, and ten persons were rescued.
