World War IITT El Coston

The Panamanian-registered TT El Coston sank on 25 February 1944 following a collision with the tanker Murfreesboro. The ship carried a crew of 39 and a detachment of 28 U.S. Navy Guards. Nine crew members and eight Navy Guards lost their lives in the sinking.
