World War IISS Hobart Baker
The American SS Hobart Baker was sunk by Japanese aircraft on 30 December 1944 while anchored at Bug Bug Point, Mindoro. The vessel was en route from Leyte to Mindoro carrying airfield equipment. Chief Engineer Levang was injured during the attack and succumbed to his injuries while being transported ashore in a lifeboat.
