World War IIMV Boringia

The MV Boringia was torpedoed on 7 October 1942 by the German U-boat U-159 off Cape Town. The vessel was en route from Haifa and Cape Town to Hampton Roads. Twenty-five lives were lost, including one Norwegian, while thirty-five persons were rescued.
