World War IISS Bateau

The Panamanian-registered SS Bateau was sunk on 29 March 1942 by German destroyers off the coast of Norway. The vessel was en route from Reykjavik to Murmansk. Six of the crew, including two Norwegians, of the total 46 perished in the sinking.
