World War IIDS Christian Krogh
SS Christian Krogh was on a journey in convoy from Oban to St. Lawrence. This was one of the last convoys not to get escort further than 20W. The convoy disbanded and the DS Christian Krogh sailed independetly. On the 10th of June 1941, the vessel was torpedoed by the German uboat U-108 in the position 47N, 41W. The whole crew perished in the sinking, 17 of them were Norwegians, a Swede, three Britons, an Estonian and a man from Newfoundland.
