World War IIDS Rogaland
The Norwegian DS Rogaland operated on the coastal route between Oslo and Bergen. The vessel was moored in Bergen when the major harbour explosion occurred on 20 April 1944. The blast originated from a Dutch vessel carrying 100 tons of dynamite. One crew member from Rogaland was killed in the explosion, along with five shore-based workers who were carrying out tasks on board. As of 2020, Rogaland remains in service as a museum ship.
