Daniel Joseph “Danny” Hezelgrave died  july 9, 1942 when DS Bokn was torpedoed in the English Channel on the way from Barry to Portsmouth.

Daniel Hezelgrave  was married in March of 1941 to Annie Connor and died on the DS Bokn when his daughter Anne was just 2,5 months old. (Source: Email from grandchild of Daniel Hezelgrave.)
