World War IDS Sterkodder
DS Sterkodder was a rescue vessel that was struck by a mine on November 17, 1917, off Flatanger near Folla. The ship was en route from Kristiansund to Risvær to assist the steamship P.G. Halvorsen. The entire crew of 10 people lost their lives in the shipwreck. Wreckage from the ship was later found in the area.
