World War IDS Eika II

DS Eika II was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-87 on August 19, 1917, off Utvær lighthouse. The ship was en route from Drammen to Grimsby, carrying wood pulp. One person lost his life in the shipwreck. The rest of the crew was rescued by a British patrol boat and taken ashore in the United Kingdom. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
