World War IStålbark Cedarbank
Steel barque Cedarbank left Halifax, N.S. on May 9th, 1917, bound for Århus from Savannah with oil cakes. The ship was torpedoed on June 14th by the German U-boat U-100 in the North Sea. The entire crew of 26 perished in the shipwreck. An empty lifeboat from the vessel later washed ashore on June 30th at Flø in Sunnmøre.
