World War IIron barque Deveron
Iron barque Deveron was torpedoed on June 9, 1917, by the German U-boat U-94, approximately 25 nautical miles west of Nord Rona, the Hebrides. The ship was en route from Buenos Aires to Copenhagen, carrying a cargo of wheat. Four people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Sources: Sjøhistorie.no og uboat.net)
