World War IDS Anna Fostenes
DS Anna Fostenes was struck by a mine and sunk on April 2, 1917, near the Terschelling lighthouse in the Netherlands. The ship was en route from New York to Rotterdam, carrying a cargo of wheat for Belgian Relief. Unfortunately, one lifeboat with 8 people on board disappeared after the sinking.
