World War IIDS Anna Sofie

The DS Anna Sofie was subjected to a British air raid in Sagvåg harbour, Hordaland, on 5 July 1940 during the Norwegian campaign, resulting in the deaths of six crew members. The vessel was repaired after the attack and returned to service. On 23 February 1944, it ran aground and sank near Trollholmen, west of Vibransøy, while en route from Kirkenes to Emden with a cargo of ore.
