World War IDS Baus

DS Baus was sunk on April 5, 1916, by the German U-boat UB-18 off Cape of de la Heve. The ship was en route from South Shields to Rouen, France, carrying a cargo of coal. Unfortunately, 4 persons lost their lives in the sinking. The survivors were rescued by a French fishing cutter. (Sources: Sjøhistorie.no and Med norsk skib i verdenskrigen)
