World War IDS Bergensgut
DS Bergensgut was sunk on April 18, 1917, by the German U-boat UC-76 off Kinnaird Head, Lerwick. The ship was en route from Gothenburg to Rouen, France, carrying general cargo. Tragically, 10 persons lost their lives in the sinking. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
