World War IIDS Bessheim

The DS Bessheim was blown up by a Soviet U-boat mine on 21 November 1941 near Hammerfest, approximately 1 nautical mile from the harbour. The vessel was en route from Kvalsund to Hammerfest. Three Norwegians and one German lost their lives in the sinking.
