World War IDS Canis
DS Canis was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-60 on July 30, 1917, west of Holmengrå. The ship was en route from Tyne to Bergen, carrying a cargo of coal. Two people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
