World War IDS Eidsfos
DS Eidsfos was struck by a mine on December 17, 1918, in the North Sea. The ship was en route from Newcastle to Oslo with iron and coke (fuel). Six men lost their lives in the shipwreck. The survivors were rescued after 48 hours, by a Swedish ship.
