World War IIDS Eira

The DS Eira was subjected to an air raid by Allied aircrafts near Ålesund on 24 October 1944. The vessel sustained severe damage in the attack, and one crew member, along with 15 passengers, lost their lives. After the war, Eira was repaired and sailed under various owners until 1955.
