World War IIDS Faro

The DS Faro was torpedoed on 27 January 1940 by the German U-boat U-20 off the Orkneys. The vessel was en route from Sarpsborg to Methil. The following day, the ship drifted ashore on Copinsay in the Orkneys. Seven men lost their lives in the sinking.
