World War IDS Garant
DS Garant was sunk by the German U-boat U-81 on March 25, 1917, east of Shetland. The ship was en route from Kristiania (Oslo) to Aberdeen, carrying a cargo of propellers. Fourteen people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
