World War IDS Graafjeld

DS Graafjeld was struck by a mine on January 15, 1917, by a mine laid by the German U-boat UC-43 northeast of Flamborough Head. The ship was en route from Ålesund to Hull, carrying a cargo of herring. Eight people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
