World War IDS Haakon VII
DS Haakon VII was torpedoed by the German U-boat UB-35 on September 7, 1917, off Lands End. The ship was en route from Bilbao to Cardiff, carrying a cargo of iron ore. Three people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
