World War IIDS Havda
The SS Havda operated in freight and passenger transport between Trøndelag and Stavanger. On 9 December 1944, the vessel called at Måløy with 12 passengers, including some Germans. Havda was attacked by Allied aircraft near Askvoll, and the ship was hit by bombs and machine gun fire, causing it to sink near Lutelandet. Two crew members, a pilot, and three passengers were killed in the attack.
