World War IIDS Hodnaberg
The DS Hodnaberg (formerly Haardrade) was sunk by British aircraft in Granvin on 25 April 1940. The vessel was later salvaged and returned to service as Hodnaberg. On 24 February 1946, it was blown up by a mine near Hals Barre Lighthouse at the entrance to the Limfjord off Aalborg. Nine people lost their lives in the explosion.
