World War IDS Hovland

DS Hovland was in dry dock in Halifax on December 6, 1917, and was damaged when a ship loaded with ammunition exploded following a collision. Five people from Hovland lost their lives in the accident. The ship later sank in 1923 off the coast of Algeria.
