World War IDS Ida
DS Ida was torpedoed by the German U-boat UC-39 on February 8, 1917, southeast of Flamborough Head. The ship was en route from Leith to London in ballast (without cargo). Two people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
