World War IDS Janvold

DS Janvold was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-98 on May 26, 1918, in the Irish Sea. The ship was en route from Bilbao to Glasgow, carrying a cargo of iron ore. Four people lost their lives in the shipwreck. The rest of the crew was rescued by a British escort trawler. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
