World War IIDS Knoll

SS Knoll served under Nortraship during the war. The ship was scuttled by its own crew in Bari harbor on April 9, 1945, to prevent an explosion of its ammunition cargo. After the war, the ship was salvaged, put back into service, and continued operating until it was scrapped in 1972.
