World War IISS Korthion

The Greek SS Korthion was torpedoed on 14 April 1942 by the German U-boat U-66 in the Atlantic Ocean. The vessel was en route from Paramaribo to St. Thomas and New York carrying bauxite. Fourteen lives were lost, including one Norwegian, while nine persons were rescued.
