World War IIMS Krosdøl
The Norwegian MS Krosdøl was in Bergen when the major harbour explosion occurred on 20 April 1944. At the time, Krosdøl was unloading sand close to the centre of the blast—the Dutch vessel Voorbode, which was carrying 100 tons of dynamite. One crew member from Krosdøl later died from his injuries, and the ship was completely destroyed.
