World War IIDS Liv
The SS Liv was interned by Italian authorities in June 1940, and the Norwegian crew was sent home in the autumn of 1940. The vessel entered Italian service and was first damaged in an Allied bombing raid on La Spezia, then torpedoed by the British U-boat HMS Safari in La Spezia harbor on May 8 of the same year. In 1948, the wreck was raised and scrapped.
