World War IDS Nanna
DS Nanna was torpedoed on October 4, 1918, by the German U-boat UB-112. The ship was en route from Barry Dock to St. Malo with a cargo of coal. Nine people lost their lives in the shipwreck, while five were rescued. In January 1917, the ship had previously captured a German U-boat off the coast of Shetland but was subsequently returned to its owners. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
