World War IIDS Norfalk

DS Norfalk was intended to be scuttled as a breakwater during the Normandy invasion. However, the ship was struck by a mine on July 20, 1944, south of Barfleur while in a convoy en route to France. Fortunately, the entire crew was rescued.
